Foreign Military Sales
Also called FMS, arms sale approval
The program through which the US government sells weapons and military services to foreign governments; sales above set amounts are notified to Congress first.
How are approved sales to Korea published?
When the State Department approves a sale, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notifies Congress and issues a release naming the items, the estimated value and the principal contractors.
The notified value is a maximum estimate and can differ from the final contract, which is signed later with the contractors.
Whalegun lists approved sales to Korea with items, estimated values and principal contractors, and names members who traded a contractor's stock within 30 days of the announcement.
