Summary
USTR determines that certain of Brazil's practices on digital trade and electronic payments, preferential tariffs, anti-corruption, intellectual property, ethanol access and illegal deforestation are actionable under Section 301 and proposes action including tariffs on Brazilian goods. Comments are due July 1, 2026, with a hearing on July 6, 2026.
