Public officials' asset disclosure (Korea)

Also called Korean lawmakers' asset disclosure

Under Korea's Public Service Ethics Act, lawmakers and other senior officials report their assets every year and the reports are published in the official gazette.

How do US stocks appear in the disclosures?

Members of the National Assembly report the assets of themselves, their spouses and lineal relatives each year, and the Assembly's ethics committee publishes the annual changes. The securities section lists each holding and its quantity.

Lineal relatives may decline disclosure, so not every family member's assets are public. Values are as of December 31 of the prior year, not the publication date.

Whalegun gathers the US-listed stocks in these disclosures by lawmaker and by stock and shows how the quantities changed year by year.
